 Festive Singalong

 An amazing musical experience for every learner

At Electric Umbrella we create amazing music experiences with learning disabled people. In doing so, we change the way the world thinks about them - and others. 


We are making a new Christmas single, created by our learning disabled members alongside professional musicians and songwriters.


We want schools across the country to join our amazing (amazing!) choir of backing vocalists.


A celebration of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme in schools, The Great Electric Umbrella Singlong is a chance for all learners to take part in an incredible music experience.


It’s also a great opportunity to spread some yellow joy as we aim for a place in the Christmas music charts.


It's about saying Merry Everything, to everyone.


And the best part? Taking part is free!

How it works


The Great Electric Umbrella Festive Singalong is open to all learners (whether in mainstream or SEND education) and participation is completely free. To take part:




  • We will provide you with a demo of the song and lyrics


  • We’ll also be providing resources teaching chords and the Makaton signing to go with it

  • On Thursday 16 November (1.30pm) schools will be invited to join us on online to perform the song

  • We’ll capture everyone’s performances and feature them in the final released song - some schools will even be featured in the accompanying video!

  • We’d also encourage schools to feature the song in your own Christmas assemblies & concerts

  • It’s a chance to show the world how we can all join together in promoting equality and integration - in schools and the world beyond


  • Please note this project is specifically for schools - there are many other opportunities for individuals to join our activities

Music Machine

Our programme for SEND learners and teachers. Every week we are joined by hundreds of schools for 45 minutes of fully interactive, vibrant music.


Music Machine is built to help teachers and students everywhere to find connection & expression through music, unleashing a whole lotta fun in the process.
