Find what you really love with our brilliant range of activities
At Electric Umbrella we create amazing music experiences with learning disabled people. In doing so, we change the way the world thinks about them - and others.
When you’re part of Electric Umbrella, the stage is always set, the lights are always bright, and the show is always on.
Everyone in our community has the opportunity to work with musicians to co-produce extraordinary music and performances.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at Electric Umbrella, including our brilliant free programme. We run multiple sessions every day providing a variety of music related activities.
On this page you'll find a summary of our programmes. Make sure you download the latest information on timetables and fees which includes current availability.
The vast majority of our members have their places at Electric Umbrella funded by Personal Budgets or Direct Payments - learn more here!

We’ll make music together as you take your moment in the spotlight alongside session leaders and musicians.
Feel the Music
Feel the Music sessions are similar to Face the Music, but for those who also love to create music and perform alongside our professionals, but prefer a quieter, calmer atmosphere.
"It's just fantastic. Everyone
loves being there!"
At Crew Days, members take part in meaningful work-based activities alongside our team of musical experts.
There’s a variety of content in our Crew Days sessions, which can be booked as full or half days and tailored to suit the needs and interests of those taking part. Restore and reimagine instruments, act as front of house in our Emporium, perform and lead workshops in schools or other corporate organisations and roadie for our performances.
Express Crew Days
Be part of our crew taking Electric Umbrella into mainstream primary schools each week.
Travel on the big yellow bus with our musicians to deliver vibrant, interactive performances and workshops that help pupils (and teachers!) to celebrate difference, helping them explore inclusion, equality and diversity, spreading joy.

Baby Brollies Crew Days

You will also have the opportunity to write and record songs specifically for Baby Brollies
In person or online, our Big Yellow choir is a place where everyone can sing!
You don’t have to be learning disabled to share our Electric Umbrella joy, the Big Yellow Choir is a choir for everyone.
Join us for plenty of singing, dancing, and smiling every week. Share the joy of group singing, and take to the stage for a solo spot at the end of each evening (if you want to).
We operate two extraordinary choirs, which are open to everyone regardless of your ability or disability. One is in person for those who can travel to Abbots Langley, the other is online (for the world)!
Make magical music with Electric Umbrella - online!
